I have always struggled with no bake cookie recipes for some reason. They are super easy, quick and yummy as can be but I could never make them just so. Then last night I experimented a bit and I found by doubling the butter in my regular recipe and adding a touch of a secret ingredient, that they are more than just so-they are delicious! They melt in your mouth and have a fudge like quality that had us all coming back for more.
Please enjoy!
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
2 T nutella
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
Cover a large area of the counter top with waxed paper.
In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, bring the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Boil 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, nutella and oats until well combined.
Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto the waxed paper. Cool. Store in an airtight container.
Sounds like a winner! That is the same amount of butter in mine :)
